“Convenient switching of the keyboard language” is built into Windows. Once one has set up which languages to choose from, there is a taskbar button and the keyboard combination Alt+Shift.
Something similar is built into Gnome and KDE. One can also set it up in xorg.conf, where a keyboard combination can be used.

The list is a bit awkward because I think the Windows programs listed are not widely used by the Windows folks!
Tell me alternatives for Adobe CS3 Suite, Adobe Premiere, Autocad 2007, Corel Draw X3, Map&Guide Professional, Derive 6, Microsoft Office (especially a linux application which has the _FULL_ functionality of Outlook), Nero 7 Premium, Nokia Suite for Nokia mobile phone, WS_FTP, IsoBuster, and an application fo using MSN together with SIMP for encryption to stay comptible to my friends…

Such a list would be GREAT because this holds me back from switching to Ubuntu now…
